Frequently Asked Questions 

It says your address is in a residential area, where are you located?

You have our address correct! We proudly work out of the residential community of Auburn Bay. Our address is 387 Auburn Crest Way SE and our shop is located on the back of the property and accessed through the back lane/alley way.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, please. We are by appointment only and do not accept walk-ins. 

Are you licensed?

Yes, we are fully licensed by the City of Calgary and the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Counsel. Our staff are properly trained and certified and there is always a licensed Red Seal Journeyperson present for all vehicle projects. We are fully insured as well. 

Can I wait for my appointment?

Our workshop does not currently have the infrastructure for a waiting area and for your safety, we ask that you do not wait in our garage while we work. There are many shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of our site. Please have a prearranged ride at your drop off time. If you decide to stay in the area, please dress for the conditions as you will not be permitted to stay inside the garage during your appointment.

Can I drop off before my appointment time or the evening before?

Yes! During regular business hours, you can drop your vehicle off at the workshop and hand your keys off to one of our team members any time before your reservation. After hours, please park your vehicle in front of the shop or on the adjacent parking pad and place your keys inside of our afterhours lockbox.

The service I am trying to book is not listed on your website, what should I do?

Please send us an email to [email protected] or send us a text to 403-616-8904 to inquire about booking a service you don’t see listed.

What types of repairs do you perform?

All general maintenance, tire services, brake services & replacements, alignments, fluid changes, insurance inspections, pre purchase inspections, steering and suspension repairs, and most general repairs big and small scale.

Do you offer Out Of Province Inspections?

We do not currently offer out of province inspections.

What methods of payment do you accept? 

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), debit cards, cash or email transfers. Payment is due at the time of pickup.

Can I supply my own parts or materials?

Absolutely. Honest Auto is not responsible for any incorrectly supplied materials, or any defective or faulty parts that we do not supply. 

Can I have my vehicle towed to you?

Not without permission from us. Due to the nature of where we do business, parking is very limited and we need to be respectful of our neighbors and our community. If your vehicle requires a tow, you need to contact us to ensure there is room to tow your vehicle before it is dropped off. A vehicle dropped off without prior consent from Honest Auto will be towed back to its original location at your expense. No exceptions.
